I am a photojournalist and commercial photographer based out of Las Vegas, Nevada, who specializes in culinary photography. Growing up in a household full of foodies and falling in love with photography in my teenage years, it was only a matter of time before I found a way to combine the two while taking both photojournalism and fine art studio photography courses at Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara, California.
My specialties are in restaurant photography, studio photography and street foods photography. Depending on the situation, I can take a studio artist’s approach and style the food, bring in artificial lighting sources and construct the scene around the subject or I can take the journalist’s approach and go looking for the food, finding it in its genuine environment being prepared by those who were meant to.
My subjects come from many aspects of the world of cuisine, and can be found in internationally celebrated restaurants and snack carts alike. I’ve photographed in strawberry fields, delis, bakeries, pizza parlors and taco shacks. But it’s not only the food that people are interested in. The culinary artists, chefs, grill masters, fishermen, farmers and harvesters behind the meal are just as important to the story that the food tells.
But when all is said and done, the image needs to speak for itself. My goal is for the images to look as delicious as the food itself. Whether the food needs to look flawless for an advertisement or if it needs to be authentic, whether the food needs to be styled or looks perfect right off of the pan, I want my photographs to ignite hunger in everyone who sees them. Let me help you entice your viewers’ appetites. Call 949-300-4765 for any street foods, restaurant or studio photography work required.
